Instructional Support
The goal of Unchartered Educational Network's instructional support process is to maximize individual student success, while at the same time serve as a screening process for students who may be in need of specialized education services. Unchartered Educational Network provides an effective framework for elevating instructional quality through training in classroom observation, ongoing data collection, and data-informed professional development for teachers. Data-based decision making is used in a variety of ways, and inquiries about student academic performance as well as both problematic and appropriate behavior are answered by collecting information systematically. In addition to student behavior, data is collected regarding teacher behavior as well.
U.E.N.'s instructional support service is a positive, success-oriented system which uses specific assessment and intervention techniques to help remove educational or behavioral barriers for all students in the regular classroom. The process consists of the Instructional Support Team working to identify student needs, set goals, and develop an intervention plan to reach goal attainment. The U.E.N. Instructional Support Facilitator, administrators, faculty, and parents are all members of the Instructional Support Team. The Instructional Support Facilitator provides informal collaborative support to parents, teachers, and students.
